Hamilton City Brass and the Festival Chorus return to the Hamilton Arts Festival Toi Ora ki Kirikiriroa to perform one of the most notable choral pieces of the 20th Century on opening night of the festival.
This massive concert is inspired by an anthology of mediaeval poetry celebrating the joys of life, German composer Carl Orff set 24 poems to music.
The result is a work in three sections: Springtime, In the Tavern, and The Court of Love. Bookending the concert is one of the most epic and universally recognisable chorus features in the literature: O Fortuna.
